Austin James is an emerging young artist out of Columbus, Ohio. At 26 years old, he is just beginning his musical journey.  But Austin is an old soul.  His musical inspirations range from John Mayer to the Eagles. Born into a musical family , Austin grew up surrounded by the sounds of the 70's, 80's and 90's.  As a music teacher, his mom made certain he was exposed to everything from the classical sounds of Vivaldi to the musical theater genius of Leonard Bernstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber. 

As a young teen, he fell in love with performing. He was the lead character in the operetta, Amahl and the Night Visitors and continued with leading roles in Beauty and the Beast, and Bye Bye Birdie, among others. After graduating high school, he played music in Georgia before returning home to Ohio to further hone his craft.

As an artist,  Austin plays an eclectic variety of music that appeals to all ages. He covers music from many genres of the last 4 decades, as well as many original songs.  Austin's music feels very honest and organic.  His lyrics tell a story and those who hear him perform leave feeling they have shared in his life.
